4.4Permadeath co-operative shooting in pixel art. Everyone in a realm fights the same bosses at the same time, so cooperation happens naturally rather than through menus. Losing a character you have spent a week on is exactly as bad as it sounds, and exactly why the good runs feel like they matter.
4.3One player is the shaman and builds a path; everyone else is a mouse trying to reach the cheese. It is loud, chaotic and genuinely funny, and rounds finish in under a minute so nothing is ever a commitment. The community-made maps carry most of the variety.
4.1A turn-based fantasy RPG still receiving updates two decades on. The combat is straightforward and the writing does not take itself seriously for a second. It runs on anything, saves your progress properly, and works as well in ten-minute sessions as in long ones.
4.0A social space rather than a game with objectives. People build rooms, run their own events and make their own entertainment. If you arrive expecting a structure you will be disappointed; if you arrive to talk to people, it still works. Worth checking which rooms are busy before deciding.
